Description

This applies to goods being exported to another SADC country and is required in order to benefit from SADC duty free access agreements. In order to obtain a certificate, Customs must verify that the goods conform to the definition of ‘Origin Mozambique’ following SADC rules. In order to obtain a certificate for eligible goods, the exporter must complete a company registration for (once, first time) [F 17.1] and then complete the Certificate of Origin [F 17.2] and the Product Declaration [F 17.3] and the Export Declaration [F 17.4]. These must be submitted to customs along with the commercial invoice and the shipment order (ordem de embarque). Customs may wish to inspect the premises and production process prior to confirming that the goods conform to SADC rules of origin. For more information on rules of origin, see Rules of Origin.
