P 12.2 Sanitary Certificate for Animals and Animal products

To obtain a sanitary certificate for animals and products of animal origin, the exporter must submit the relevant completed form [F12.2] along with a copy of the license to export [P 1], the import license from the destination country, and if relevant: the animal’s passbook in the case of domestic animals, the breeder passbook in the case of commercial animals, or the purchase receipt (in the case of meat being exported for personal use) to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security Directorate of Veterinary. Submission by email can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Submission may also be done at provincial level. Once document checks have been carried out, the exporter will be contacted to arrange for sanitary inspection by officials, who, should everything be in order, will issue the license.
