P 5.3 Sanitary Licence for Fish and Aquatic Products

Sanitary License for Seafood and Products of Aquatic Origin
Description

To obtain a sanitary license for Seafood and Aquatic Products, the importer must fill in the relevant form [F 5.3] and submit it to the National Institute for Seafood Inspection (Instituto Nacional de Inspecção do Pescado, INIP). Submission can also be made at provincial level. Attached should be the pro forma invoice, and a copy of the license to operate as a Foreign Trade Operator [P1]. INIP will issue a provisional license, which will become permanent after inspection of the products by INIP staff (at the premises of the importer).
